This type of data cabling is quite large and round in shape. It has an inner core, which is what is used to transmit data. The inner core is surrounded by an insulator as well as a shield so as to protect the signal of the data communication. One thing to note though is that this type of cable needs a special connector known as a BNC connector.

Fibre optic cable

This type of cable is the most preferred option for people who require fast data connection. The fibre optic cable can be used for both business phone systems as well as for fast internet speeds. The fibre optic cable makes use of light and glass as part of its mechanism to provide fast data connections, making it efficient for both residential and commercial use. Due to the use of glass, this cable is also quite fragile. However, this type of cable does not suffer from signal degradation as the other types of cables used for data connection.
